    About Reaction Speed

Reaction time is the duration it takes for a person to respond to a stimulus. In this test, it's the time between the screen turning green (the stimulus) and your click (the response). It's a key measure of how quickly your nervous system can process information and react.

What is a good reaction time?

The average human reaction time is around 200-250 milliseconds (ms). For professional athletes, especially in sports like racing or sprinting, it can be as low as 120ms. Anything under 100ms is generally considered superhuman and may indicate anticipation rather than true reaction.

    Factors Affecting Reaction Time:

    • Age: Reaction time typically peaks in your early 20s and gradually slows down as you age.
    • Fatigue: Being tired can significantly slow down your reaction speed.
    • Distractions: A noisy or busy environment can divide your attention and increase reaction time.
    • Practice: Like any skill, you can improve your reaction time with consistent practice. Our test is a great way to train!
